We went to see a small exhibition today at the Mercer Art Gallery. Unfortunately, you couldnt take pictures, but the exhibition was definitely worth a look. It was based on the novel 'the secret garden'
The thing that I really liked was the way the whole exhibition was tied together, my favourite piece was a large wooden door and key in the back on the exhibition, but in the centre of the wall. You can see it when you enter the gallery, but it appears to be fixed into the wall as part of the architecture until you approach it and observe more closely.
All of the pieces were carefully selected for the show and I enjoyed the vast range of styles that were present in the collection. It was nice to see a quality exhibition in such a small space.
